At the young age of 8, Megan began learning the importance of hard work and the value of a dollar. As she worked and saved, she saw how a disciplined approach to savings allowed her to meet her goals. Today, client objectives extend well beyond those of an 8-year-old, but the approach still holds true. Megan uses the same simple strategy with clients as she helps them work toward their specific goals. Megan’s career in financial services began with LPL Financial in 2012 and she went on to join Cambridge Investment Research in 2018. At Cambridge, she serves on the Practice Management Advisory Council, as well as the New Century Council to continue to advance the future of the industry. Furthermore, she has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and utilizes her experience throughout client interactions.
As a Murfreesboro native, Megan is a 2010 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. During her tenure at MTSU, Megan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, as well as a Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. She was extremely active both on campus, as well as in the community throughout her college career and remains involved as MTSU alumni, serving on the Advisory Board of the Martin Chair of Insurance. Megan is now a very active and involved citizen of the Murfreesboro business community.
Megan is also an active member of RUTHERFORD Cable, a local women’s business organization that focuses on women’s professional advancement. In 2014, she was awarded the RUTHERFORD Cable Rising Star Award for exemplifying excellent business leadership potential. Additionally, she was nominated for the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award® in 2016 & 2018, which recognizes an emerging leader under the age of 40 who shows professional excellence, contributes to the community, and serves as a role model for other women. Megan also proudly serves on the Advisory Board of the Discovery Center and is a Member of Murfreesboro Young Professionals.
In 2016, Megan was invited by Saint Thomas Rutherford to participate in the Commonwealth Society and then to The Murfree Circle in 2017. These programs offer vibrant business professionals a behind-the-scenes look at Saint Thomas Rutherford and its efforts to serve all aspects of the community. Megan is a 2013 graduate of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Rutherford program. She has also served as a Diplomat with the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with family, whether it be on the family farm or visiting Rosemary Beach, Florida. She enjoys staying active while running and has become an avid Peloton rider. Megan is married to Wesley, who is the owner of Bynum CPA, PLLC and together, they have a son, Lawson. They are also active members of New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.
Michelle joined Harvest Wealth Group, LLC as Operations Manager in November 2022. Michelle may be a familiar face and voice to clients with Megan and Michelle's working relationship from previous years. Michelle’s journey in financial services began in 1998, and she has gained extensive knowledge and experience in all facets of financial services and operations. Michelle’s in-depth understanding of the industry, desire to build relationships with clients, and professional service is valuable to the organization as well as the success of each client.
Although a native Floridian, Michelle enjoys all the seasons that Tennessee has to offer. In her spare time, she can be found exploring the outdoors and wildlife in the mountains of East Tennessee. With a list of places to see and things to do, she is always up for an adventure!
